Adams and Wilkinson County Slave Narratives

I recently came across a couple of interesting narratives from the WPA slave narrative works from 1935-36. The two gentlemen Charles Davenport and James Lucas who are featured in these interviews both moved to Natchez, Mississippi after the end of the Civil War. Here are their stories.
